Mike Donaghy is an experienced teacher, accomplished musician, and arts facilitator with over two decades of dedication to music education. He is the owner and head teacher at MD Music, providing high-quality music tuition from his fully equipped teaching studio, schools and colleges around North Down and online to students globally. 

As the former Director of Yamaha Music Schools Ireland, Mike has been instrumental in shaping music programs and developing young talent. He has performed across Europe, Canada, and the United States, and as a songwriter, his work has reached the top ten charts in Ireland, Germany, and the Netherlands. Mike is also an International Singer Songwriter Association (ISSA) award winner, recognising his achievements on the global stage.

Mike continues to guide students from the classroom to the stage, with many going on to achieve significant success such as Two Door Cinema Club, The Florentinas and Dea Matrona amongst others. He also supports arts facilitation in schools and colleges, helping to run and maintain student rock groups, ensuring they are well-equipped for live performance.

His passion for music education is matched by his dedication to fostering creativity and growth in students of all ages and abilities, helping them reach their full musical potential.
